URCERI
Amazon-first tool brand selling a low-cost handheld digital lux meter, the SMT912, with ambient temperature readout.
Where URCERI sells
URCERI sells through its Amazon storefront. We could not find a brand-run website, so warranty, support and returns run through the Amazon listing and seller.
What we list
The SMT912 is a handheld digital illuminance meter with an ambient temperature readout, sold on Amazon. It is on our light meters page as a budget option.
What a cheap lux meter is good for
A budget lux meter is enough for the main circadian checks at home: whether a light therapy lamp delivers its rated lux at your sitting distance, how bright your workspace is in the morning, and how dark your bedroom gets at night. Our lux levels tool and how many lux do you need guide give the targets.
Limits
Cheap meters are weighted to visual brightness, not the blue-sensitive response of the body clock, and accuracy under colored or narrow-band LEDs can be poor. Readings are best used for comparisons under similar light rather than as exact figures. For spectrum, you need a spectrometer; both types are compared on our light meters page.
Amazon listings change often. Check the current model and seller before buying.
