Who Bon Charge is

Bon Charge was co-founded by Andy Mant (CEO) and Katie Mant. The founders started out in Australia, and the company launched its first product, blue light blocking glasses, in 2017. The catalog has since grown to red light therapy, infrared sauna blankets, cold therapy, sleep masks and circadian lighting.

What we list

Four Bon Charge products appear on this site: two pairs of blue light glasses (Morris and a clip-on) and two bulbs on our circadian light bulbs page (a red blue-light-blocking bulb for evenings and a full spectrum bulb for daytime). The red bulb follows a sound principle. In a study of 72 adults, blue light at 446 to 477 nm was the most potent at suppressing melatonin at night, so long-wavelength red light should have less effect.

Claims to check

Bon Charge says its products are backed by research and points to a scientific advisory board, but the about page does not cite specific tests or studies. The evidence for amber glasses before bed comes from a handful of small trials; our guide do blue light glasses work sets out what they found. Treat “blocks 100%” style claims as vendor claims unless a product page shows a measured transmission curve.

Warranty and returns

The site header lists a 1-year warranty and lifetime technical support, and offers free shipping over $125. Return terms sit on a separate returns page.
