Good

  • $69.99, far less than a $270 prescription pair
  • Same maker-stated 400 to 550 nm blocking as Bon Charge's framed glasses
  • Adjustable clip that Bon Charge says fits almost any frame

Not so good

  • No side or top coverage, so light reaches the eye around the clip
  • No independent measurement published; transmission data comes from Bon Charge

The Clip On is the cheapest way to add a strong evening filter to prescription glasses. Bon Charge gives it the same 400 to 550 nm claim as its framed glasses, and the product page shows the same transmission graph: no measurable light below about 555 nm. As with the Morris, that data comes from Bon Charge, with no independent measurement published.

At $69.99 it costs about a quarter of a Bon Charge prescription pair ($270), and you keep your own lenses, including progressives or multifocals. Bon Charge says the adjustable clip fits almost any frame.

The weakness is coverage. A clip-on sits flat in front of your lenses, so light can still reach your eyes from the sides and top. Every intervention study in a 2025 review used wraparound frames, and a clip-on is the opposite of that. Bon Charge itself points people worried about side light toward its wraparound Onyx frame.

If your frames are small or you’re sensitive to side light, a fit-over such as the Sleep Swannies Fitover gives more coverage. If you mostly sit facing a screen or lamp in the evening, the clip-on is a sensible, low-cost choice.
