Specs from the manufacturer and the sources listed below. Last verified Oct 20, 2026.

Good

  • FDA cleared for full-face wrinkles under its own 510(k), K250966, from June 2025
  • Flexible liquid silicone with a chin strap reaches the jawline
  • 633/830 nm pairing matches the main skin trials
  • Clip-on controller with auto shut-off after 10 minutes, plus eye inserts in the box

Not so good

  • About $75 more than the Omnilux Contour Face for the same stated output and dose
  • The FDA filing lists 220 LEDs at 633 and 830 nm; the retail page claims 236 including 1072 nm, which the filing does not mention
  • The headline "30% fewer wrinkles in 8 weeks" comes from a 35-person SGS test; no journal paper is linked
  • Change-of-mind returns only if the mask is unused

The Series 2 is a close alternative to the Omnilux Contour Face. Both are flexible silicone masks at 633 and 830 nm with about 30 mW/cm² of output and 10-minute sessions. The CurrentBody has a cleaner FDA story: its own 510(k), K250966, cleared in June 2025 for full-face wrinkles.

The FDA summary lists 110 red and 110 near-infrared LEDs, a total intensity of 30 mW/cm², 18 J/cm² per session and a regimen of 10 minutes, 5 times a week for 6 weeks. These are the maker’s numbers in its filing. The US retail page describes 236 LEDs, including 16 at 1072 nm. That wavelength is not in the filing, so treat it as a marketing extra, not part of what was cleared.

CurrentBody cites a 2024 SGS test of 35 people over 56 days with a 29.8% drop in forehead wrinkle volume and a 25.7% drop in crow’s feet volume. The page links no journal paper and gives no control group. The stronger evidence for this kind of mask is independent: a sham-controlled trial of a 630/850 nm home mask in 60 adults found better crow’s feet scores at 8, 12 and 16 weeks.

The chin strap is a real difference if you care about the jawline. Otherwise the Omnilux does the same job for about $75 less. Neither has blue light, so for breakouts look at the Shark CryoGlow.
