Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Sleep Mask

The TEMPUR-Sleep Mask takes a different approach from the cup masks above it. Tempur-Pedic describes it as a mask filled with TEMPUR material that molds to your face, and it gives no eye-cup depth. Tempur-Pedic says the material contours to your face “for complete darkness”. That is a brand claim, and there is no independent light measurement.

The strap is elastic with a hook-and-loop closure, so you can set the tension precisely. Relax The Back lists the mask at 10.4 x 3.1 x 1.3 inches. It comes in one color, dark navy. Tempur-Pedic does not list the cover fabric or weight.

Two things hold it back. First, care: Tempur-Pedic’s help center says to spot clean only with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and not to soak, machine wash, tumble dry or iron it, because moisture can damage the foam and void the warranty. For something that sits on your face every night, that is a real limitation next to the machine-washable Manta Sleep Mask. Second, returns: the mask is final sale. Mattress Firm lists a 1-year limited warranty against defects such as splitting, cracking or loss of shape.

Tempur-Pedic does not say whether the mask keeps clear of the eyelids. If you wear lash extensions or dislike anything touching your eyes, a mask with deep cups such as the MZOO or Nidra is the safer choice.

At $29 it costs less than Manta but more than MZOO, without the washability of the first or the cup depth of the second.
