Good
- About $32 for a 52 x 84 in pair at Walmart, among the cheapest lined blackout options
- Lengths from 54 to 120 in, depending on retailer, so tall windows can go to the floor
- Reviewed.com said it does a good job blocking light, with three Sun Zero sets performing similarly
Not so good
- Only 52 in wide, so wide windows need extra panels to overlap
- Reviewed.com found the silky fabric shiny
- Sold as single panels on Amazon and as pairs elsewhere, so check what you are buying
The Oslo is the cheapest way on this list to get a lined, full-length blackout curtain. Sun Zero says its “Extreme Blackout” fabric is laboratory tested to block 100% of light; Walmart lists the panel as lined, and Amazon lists a polyester lining. A 52 x 84 in grommet pair was $32.30 at Walmart on October 20, 2026. Amazon sells single rod-pocket panels in the same line.
Reviewed.com tested three Sun Zero sets and said they “all perform similarly”, with the Amazon-sold Oslo blocking the most of the three. It said they do a good job blocking light, though the Amazon Basics set came first. Reviewed’s main complaint was looks: the fabric is silky and shiny.
The length range is the main reason to choose it over the Amazon Basics set. Amazon lists 63, 84, 95, 108 and 120 in rod-pocket panels (not every length is always in stock), and Walmart adds a 54 in pair, so you can usually reach the floor even with the rod mounted high above the frame. Width is fixed at 52 in per panel, so buy enough panels to cover about 1.5 to 2 times your rod width.
Walmart’s listing says the panels cut outside noise by up to 45% and energy lost through the window by up to 50%, while a Sun Zero video on Amazon says 35% for noise. Treat both as unverified vendor figures. Neither changes how dark the room gets.
Sun Zero does not sell direct. Reviewed.com tested sets from Amazon, Wayfair and Macy’s, and the Walmart pair is sold by the maker, Lichtenberg.
